Little Stars x The Mill: A Day at the Farm!

This week, The Mill was buzzing with excitement as we welcomed a travelling farm to our school for the day - and what a day it was!

Children from across the school, including Little Stars nursery, had the chance to meet and learn about a wonderful selection of animals. From friendly donkeys and ponies to clucking chickens and cuddly guinea pigs, our playground was transformed into a mini farmyard - and the joy on the children’s faces said it all!

Pupils had the opportunity to get up close to the animals, ask questions, and even give them a gentle stroke. It was a fantastic hands-on learning experience that sparked curiosity, encouraged care and empathy, and brought smiles to every corner of the school.

Whether it was a quiet moment with a guinea pig or the excitement of seeing a pony up close, each child took away something special from the day. These kinds of experiences enrich our curriculum and help connect children to the wider world in memorable, meaningful ways.

A huge thank you to the team who brought the animals to us, and to all the staff who helped make the day run so smoothly. It was a truly magical day at The Mill - we’re already looking forward to the next one!
