Personal development at The Mill is encapsulated in our vision Forever Proud. We want each child to leave the school feeling confident, unique and proud.

At The Mill, we want every child to grow into a confident, resilient and responsible young person who is ready for life beyond primary school. Our personal development offer helps children develop character, ambition and a strong sense of self, as well as important social and emotional skills.

Our school values guide everything we do. We encourage children to be curious in their learning, respectful of others, resilient when faced with challenge and active members of their community. These values are brought to life every day through lessons, enrichment opportunities, forest school, leadership roles, assemblies and wider school life.

We want parents and visitors to see that personal development is not a separate programme – it is part of who we are as a school. Our aim is that every child leaves The Mill proud of their achievements and ready for their next steps in education and in life.
