Welcome to The Mill Primary Academy
Consistently one of the best performing primaries in Crawley.
Our GOOD Ofsted report, May 2021 says:
“Pupils enjoy coming to The Mill. The school is a calm and caring place where pupils behave respectfully towards each other and their teachers. Pupils know that teachers expect them to try their best. This inspires pupils to do just that.”
“Pupils feel well cared for. Staff provide a range of support for pupils’ mental health and emotional development. These include art therapies, play therapy, counselling and access to a member of staff who specialises in emotional support. The school develops pupils’ spiritual, moral, social and cultural understanding well.”

Come and visit and join the excitement of a growing learning community where we all strive to get better every single day.
Our whole school curriculum is built around the National Curriculum and in addition to this, there are some bespoke elements to what we offer such as: Room13, Games (a project involving our community) and artist-based transition units that we are very proud of. Not to mention our own History curriculum! All of which is designed to ensure that our children develop into aspirational, resilient and capable individuals who can make connections between their own identities and the world in which they are growing up.
REMOTE LEARNING 2021. All you need to know about how we are teaching during lockdowns, or bubble closures. Please click the ‘REMOTE LEARNING’ tab at the top of this page.
There is one driver for all we do here and that is: The Children. We live our motto every single day: Forever Proud.
Our creative staff work hard to maximise potential, create opportunity, ensure learning and fun coexist and to continue to pursue their vocation with enthusiasm and dedication.
Our parents and families support, learn, and grow with us and their children, sharing successes and proud moments together.
We welcome visits from any and every corner of the world. Come and see why we think The Mill is a school community to be Forever Proud of.
