Year 6 Serve Up Success with Their Pop-Up Restaurant!
This term, our brilliant Year 6 pupils have been busy cooking up something truly special – their very own pop-up restaurant!
As part of a cross-curricular project combining design & technology, maths, English, and teamwork, the children planned, designed, and ran a restaurant experience from start to finish. From creating menus and preparing dishes to greeting guests and serving food, every detail was thoughtfully considered and carefully executed.
The meeting room was transformed into a vibrant dining space, complete with themed decor, table settings, and smiling front-of-house staff. Families, staff, and special guests were welcomed in and treated to a delicious meal – all prepared and served by the children themselves.
Throughout the project, the Year 6 team demonstrated incredible creativity, cooperation, and commitment. They learned about budgeting, food hygiene, customer service, and how to work together to deliver a high-quality experience. It was a brilliant showcase of their independence and maturity as they near the end of their primary school journey.
The pop-up restaurant was more than just a fun event – it was a real celebration of everything the children have learned and achieved. Their confidence shone through, and the feedback from guests was glowing!
A huge well done to Year 6 for their hard work and professionalism, and thank you to all the staff who supported the project. We couldn’t be prouder of what they accomplished.
Bon appétit – Year 6 style!
