Year 5 Visit Ifield Community College for Sports Activities

As part of their transition to secondary school, our Year 5 pupils recently visited Ifield Community College to take part in a lively sports session led by the college’s sports leaders. This visit was a wonderful opportunity for our students to get a taste of secondary school life while enjoying a range of fun and engaging physical activities.

The sports leaders guided the children through various games and challenges, focusing on teamwork, skill development, and sportsmanship. The Year 5s enthusiastically took part in everything, showing great energy and enthusiasm throughout the day.

Beyond the physical activities, this experience helped our pupils build confidence and familiarity with a new school environment, easing their upcoming transition to secondary education. Interacting with older students and participating in these activities gave them a glimpse of what’s to come and made the move feel less daunting.

We’d like to thank Ifield Community College for hosting us and providing such a supportive and inspiring introduction to secondary school life. It’s days like this that help prepare our children both physically and mentally for the exciting journey ahead.

Well done to all our Year 5s for their fantastic participation — we’re proud of how well you embraced this new challenge!
