Parliament Week at Our School

This week, all children across the school took part in UK Parliament Week, diving into the world of democracy and discovering how important decisions are made in our country.

Throughout the week, pupils learnt about political parties, the role of Members of Parliament, and how laws are created. They explored the different jobs within Parliament - from the Speaker to the Prime Minister - and discussed why each role is vital in keeping our democracy running smoothly.

Children also had the chance to take part in their own vote, putting their new understanding of democracy into action. They listened to different viewpoints, debated respectfully and cast their ballots to experience how voting helps shape local and national decisions.

It was a fantastic opportunity for our pupils to gain real insight into how their voices matter. The enthusiasm and curiosity shown by every class made Parliament Week a great success!
